EXT. TROMPE D’LOEIL DAY

Establishing shot of an old soft town,
slow pan into Frederick
Community Bridge, a mural painted
on a mural.
Jump cut
a too-still duck.
Jump cut
a two-dimensional Venus de Milo.
Diegetic child chatter,
an extradiegetic Hosanna.
Slow pan out to the anthropomorphic
projection, an ANGEL.
She peers unmoving, distended
in the wall.
A TOURIST
I can’t see it.
HIS DAUGHTER
Turn your head. We’ll
go up to the gallery.
They go, no idea that
they are being watched.

Comments:
wide angled lenses. I like the images I get in my head. It has a distinctive mood with the tourist and the simplicity of the scene. It feels like a moment about trips to 'what art is on the surface' but meant to be the shared experience as daughter and father and not as much about where they are. I am not sure that I understand the hosanna portion but overall I really like it as usual. :)
